Fragments of self-phone-destruction explores physical and imaginary territories, and reflects on the world and images, in the form of a filmed diary shot with an iPhone. Just as writers travelled with their notebooks and their quills or pens in the past, the videographer now carries this multifunctional tool that allows him to be ‘connected’ to the world, but which, in essence, is a screen between him and the world. What does it mean for a videographer with an iPhone to discover a city, to meet with someone, to be astonished? And what form can be given to these prosaic and innocuous experiences?
