Great cinema doesn’t have to mean great big files! The Small File Media Festival is dedicated to movies under 5 megabytes each, from lo-fi animation, GIFs, low frame rates, datamoshing, executable files, and ‘obsolete’ technologies, to creative compression and more. These tiny files have big hearts and can be streamed at no more than one megabyte per minute. Small files give maximum eye and brain candy with minimal environmental damage!
Three works have received the Cairo Video Festival programming award.
Selection: Mena El Shazly and Mohamed Allam.
