As they reach the age of marriage, Azade and Alik struggle to find a husband in the shrinking Armenian community of Egypt. This precise dilemma leads them to organize an exhibition depicting the situation through the work of Egyptian-Armenian photographers; their attempt to continue the lineage and keep the culture alive. The girls’ journey takes place as they go around Cairo gathering content from those who now own the heritage, while dealing with the skepticism of the community toward their intention and reasoning behind the exhibition – “We aren’t shrinking, we are still here.” As we delve into this imaginary exhibition, the photos are animated and we hear their voices. On this imaginary journey, the two women try to find their place in today’s Egypt.
